Hamilton : An American Data Set

For a while now, I've wanted to analyse Hamilton, the superb, and insanely clever musical by Lin Manuel Miranda. A short holiday from work allowed me the opportunity to get stuck in to the data, and after several listens, considerable help from my girlfriend on timing the fastest 10 seconds of each song, I've made it.

Here's the result of my obsession, analysing all 20,000 words, listening to the soundtrack countless times, working out rhymes with Burr, speed of lyrics, most used words and phrases, and words per minute. I hope you like it.

Full credit goes to Lin Manuel Miranda for writing and creating Hamilton: An American Musical, forming the basis of my inspiration for this data visualisation, and for my long suffering girlfriend, for putting up with the same 12 words everytime I get hold of the music controls, "How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore, and a Scotsman".
